The Human Exploration Rover Challenge

The NASA HERC Challenge encourages research and development of new technologies for future mission planning. Join us in the thrilling challenge, where we're not just dreaming, but where we are helping craft the future of space exploration right from our very own school. Together, we are embarking on this mission to refine technology for exciting crewed space journeys to uncharted worlds!

In mid-April, we will depart to the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, with our completed Rover, to compete in NASA’s HERC Challenge!

Our Excursions!

Quick Summary of the challenge:

During our first day at NASA Herc, the Leocraft design team encountered numerous technical challenges while preparing our rover for its excursion. Despite these hurdles, we worked diligently until the last minute to ensure our rover was ready in time. But, unfortunately during the initial excursion, one of our wheels broke.

Nevertheless, we remained determined. Instead of giving up, we promptly addressed the issue, making the necessary repairs and enhancements to our rover. With our unwaivering willpower, we approached the second excursion saw a huge improvement over the first time.
